Enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in comfy chairs. the German potato soup was creamy and flavorful, with chunks of potatoes and corned beef. the reindeer chili was filling and had a nice balance of spices, not too hot. the moose droppings were a fun treat, a chocolate peanut butter blend that was sweet and tasty.

The service was disappointing. the waitress was rude and seemed inconvenienced by our requests.

We had a fantastic time at the Talkeetna Roadhouse! The shared bathrooms were a bit busy, but we appreciated the complimentary ear plugs. The main areas were filled with interesting decor and we even saw a T-shirt signed by Susan Butcher. The manager entertained us with stories about the Roadhouse. The family-style breakfast was a highlight, especially the delicious sourdough pancakes with birch syrup. The location was perfect for exploring Talkeetna on foot.
