The staff, especially the woman at the front desk, were extremely friendly and helpful.

I recently stayed at The Lodge At in Chalk Hill for a peaceful and quiet getaway near the park. The balcony overlooking the river was a lovely feature. The rooms with kitchenettes were not clearly indicated on the website, but the room I stayed in was clean and well-maintained. The continental breakfast included was what you would expect. The location was convenient, right off US-40, yet there was no noise disturbance from the highway. The private patio with views of the lake was a nice touch. a great value for the money and I would stay here again.

The breakfast selection could be better, especially with regards to the donuts which were a bit stale and "sweaty". It would be helpful if they could also provide ice in the water pitcher.
