The traditional Irish pancakes were a revelation—fluffy and flavorful, a perfect morning treat! Also, the porch chats with the caretakers added such warmth to my stay. The mountain views from outside were breathtaking too!

Finding Oliver House was a bit of a puzzle with GPS, so definitely stick to the directions in your confirmation email! We were a tad late and had to call for lobby access, but it just added to the charm of our adventure.

The decor in the rooms is unique, giving a nice vintage vibe that adds character to your stay. The breakfast, though basic, includes cereal which is a nice simple option to start your day without fancy frills.

The community bathrooms are a pain. only four showers for the whole place, so expect some lines. Thin walls mean you’ll hear every footstep and conversation in the hall—good luck getting peace and quiet. The blinds don’t do a good job blocking out the sun, which means you’ll be up early whether you like it or not. Parking can be tricky—found myself walking along a dark path after parking at a distance, which isn’t ideal when the sun goes down. Overall, it's not a bad place, but these quirks piled up enough to distract from the overall experience.

We loved our stay, especially the gorgeous hiking trails nearby! With two young kids, the cozy rooms and charming decor made it a perfect family getaway. The comfortable seating areas outside were great for enjoying coffee while the kids played.

My children wished for more space to play indoors.

I enjoyed the continental breakfast options, especially the hot water for instant oatmeal. I appreciated that a caretaker was always present for emergencies. It felt secure. I also liked the outdoor seating area where I could sip my coffee. I took the Big Jeep Tour of the area, which was a highlight of my stay. Finding the location was tricky, so I suggest sticking to the directions provided. Overall, it was a relaxing weekend getaway.
