The Sam Houston hotel was a great value for the money. The room was nice, and having two bathrooms was a unique and appreciated feature. The downtown location was convenient, and the staff, especially Denise, went above and beyond to compensate for any inconvenience.

The food for breakfast could have been better.

The location was perfect, as it was downtown and within walking distance to many sights and sounds of the city. Plus, transportation to anywhere downtown was easily accessible. The bar was a fun place to unwind, and the drinks and appetizers were top-notch. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and helpfulness of the staff made this a great choice.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the front desk and bar staff who provided great advice on drinks and food. The fish tacos were delicious! The room was well-equipped with plenty of amenities like a mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, and ironing facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The swimming pool and fitness centre were also great additions.

Best aspects of my stay were the convenient location in downtown and the friendly staff. the hotel was within walking distance to many great restaurants, which made it easy to explore the city. the valet service was also a great perk, and the employees at the front desk were some of the best I've ever encountered. the bartender at the hotel bar was also fantastic, providing excellent drinks and engaging conversation.

Worst aspects of my stay were the lackluster view from my room and some disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, my room on the 4th floor had a obstructed view due to a tree, which was a letdown.

Nothing to dislike.

I loved that the hotel was within walking distance of Minute Maid Park, so we didn't have to pay for parking when we went to the Astros game. There were also plenty of local restaurants nearby, making it easy to find a variety of dining options. Additionally, being close to Buffalo Bayou was a plus since it provided a beautiful area for walks or runs.
