I recently stayed at Whitney Portal Hotel and had a fantastic experience. My purpose was to solo hike Mt. Whitney, and the hotel's location was perfect for that. The staff was incredibly friendly, remembering my name after just one day. They also provided me with the key access code without delay, which was great for my late arrival. The general store in the lobby was stocked with all the essentials I needed. The beds in the dorm room were well-spaced, and the microwave, shower, and sink were exactly what I needed. The outside area was well-lit and had a picnic table, which made it convenient for my early morning departure to Whitney Portal. All in all, I had an easy and affordable stay thanks to Whitney Portal Hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect - right in the middle of town, close to restaurants and shops. It was also conveniently located near the beautiful Alabama hills. The cleanliness of the hotel facilities was exceptional, and I appreciated the fact that the parking area was private and secure. the best part was the friendly and helpful staff.

The value for money at Whitney Portal Hotel And was excellent, with clean rooms and friendly staff. The location was perfect, nestled between Yosemite and Death Valley, giving us amazing views and a taste of the Wild West.

The breakfast menu could use some improvement, with more options to choose from.

I loved the keyless entry and convenient check-in process. It was a relief to have all the information and access to the room even if we arrived late. The room was impeccably clean and everything was in working order. The fan/cooler provided a heavenly relief. Moreover, I felt safe throughout my stay. The location of the hotel was ideal, as it was right in the center of town and convenient for breakfast places down the street and for starting hikes from the Whitney Portal.

I had the best stay at this hotel and hostel! It was clean and centrally located, making it easy for me to access everything I needed. The room was comfortable, and I loved that I could bring my own sleeping bags. The hotel facilities were great, and I especially appreciated the fact that they had a lock code system for room access. This made check-in a breeze. The location in the center of town was perfect, as it allowed me to easily explore all the amenities and natural attractions this city has to offer. a fantastic value for the money.

The location was great, with a convenient store connected to the hostel. It was really convenient to have a store right there for any necessities. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. They were always available to answer any questions we had and provided good recommendations on nearby activities and attractions.

A major downside was the lack of amenities. Also, the bathroom situation was less than ideal, with only one bathroom for all guests and no additional options available.

The location of this hotel was fantastic! It was right in the middle of town, making it super convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. Plus, it was right on the highway, making it easy to access and get around. Another great thing about this hotel was the stunning views of the mountains. Waking up to that beautiful scenery in the morning was a real treat!

There were a few things that I didn't like about my stay. the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and kept me up at night.
