Conveniently located for visiting the legacy museum and memorial, our stay at Wingate was delightful. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Being close to the interstate made getting around a breeze, and we enjoyed the beautiful pond and picnic area. The hot breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options. We were sad to leave, but grateful for the fantastic experience.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and even gave me a gift of water and snacks upon check-in. the breakfast offered a variety of options, including grits, eggs, and pastries, which was a nice change from the usual continental breakfast. the hotel is conveniently located near the Rennaissance Hotel & Spa downtown, making it a great choice for conferences or events in the area.

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, which meant there was some noise and inconvenience during our stay. However, the staff apologized for the inconvenience and explained the situation.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. It's tucked away behind a row of restaurants and is in an area that may seem a bit shady at first, but it turned out to be a great location very close to the highway. The service was really good too and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room amenities were also impressive, including ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, and a sitting area. The outdoor swimming pool was a great way to relax after a busy day. this venue provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I loved being able to open the windows and feel the refreshing cool breeze at night. the in-room amenities, such as the microwave and fridge, were a definite plus. the breakfast spread was outstanding, with a wide variety of options, including the delightful surprise of kimchee! the best part of my stay was the amazing staff, particularly Jill. She was incredibly sweet, hospitable, and went above and beyond to ensure the guests' satisfaction. I didn't want to leave!

Located near several restaurants and shops, this hotel is convenient for those who want to be in the heart of the city. The rooms are clean and come with a decent breakfast. Plus, the Alabama state university is just a short drive away.

The staff seems unresponsive to some guests' complaints, and the noise of the ice machine could be bothersome.
