I had a lovely stay at Yosemite Gateway Motel. The room was spacious and felt like a mini apartment, equipped with a refrigerator and microwave for added convenience. I appreciated the clean bathroom, and the view from the private deck overlooking Mono Lake was simply breathtaking.

Check-in could have been warmer.

The view is outstanding! I watched the sunrise over Mono Lake from my bed. The sliding glass door offers a full view, and the covered balcony enhances the experience. The location is perfect for accessing the east entrance of Yosemite. The room was comfortable and clean.

Friendly staff and beautiful views of Mono Lake.

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the lack of air conditioning during a brutal heatwave. With temperatures hitting 108°F, the room felt suffocating, and the fan provided was inadequately weak. Additionally, the noise from the main road through town was disruptive, making it hard to enjoy any semblance of peace.

i thought i was getting a king room with a balcony, but ended up in a double queen, down the street. oh, and the poorly maintained sliding glass door was infuriating! with absolutely no air conditioning, i could hardly sleep… thank goodness the view was nice, or else it would have been a complete disaster. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

the room was very clean, and the upgraded bathroom made a big difference. the staff recommended excellent spots for meals, like nicely's across the street. the balcony views of mono lake were a lovely touch too.

The place definitely shows its age. the bathrooms are old and need renovation, and I found dead flies in mine. There's no microwave or fridge in the room, which is a hassle for anyone wanting to keep snacks. The noisy highway was unexpectedly quiet during the night, but the overall maintenance issues, including old locks and outlets not being up to code, left much to be desired.
