charming stay with easy access to local attractions and parks

During my stay, I loved being just a few steps away from the Eliza James-McBean Clock Tower and the beautiful sights of the Frederiksted Historic District, making it so easy to stroll through the vibrant streets and take in the local culture. plus, the nearby beach access was a perfect spot to relax and unwind after exploring the town.

The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View had a comfortable new bed, though the snorkeling gear needed cleaning and the sheets were being replaced. Management was responsive to issues like the lack of a fitted sheet. This hotel could be enjoyable for couples looking for a relaxing getaway but may need improvements in maintenance and equipment sanitation.

absolutley horrendous experience! No hot water in my room and a hair in the shower, how charming. I woudl ve been grateful for an upgrade, at least! Plus, the first bartender's attitude was chilling, very unfriendly. After all, I definitely expected better service on my getaway! almost gave this place a good review, but I just couldn’t.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-night stay at The Fred, Adults Only Hotel. The property is a charming boutique beachfront getaway, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Delia, the front desk manager, was attentive and responsive to my needs. Danny, the bartender, was knowledgeable about local attractions and provided excellent service. I appreciated the vibrancy of the live entertainment scheduled at the hotel, including live music and performances, which added a lovely touch to my evenings. Overall, The Fred is a beautiful retreat, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing vacation.

stayed at the fred and it was such a vibe! the staff were super friendly and helpful, felt like fam. loved the beach access and all the fun events like movie night and dinner pop-ups. the room was comfy and had a great view, we really enjoyed chillin' by the pool. can't wait for the bar to open fully and the pool area to be finished, it's gonna be awesome!

also, the neighborhood felt kinda sketchy at times.

The vibe and staff were exemplary. The property is ideally located and its boutique formatting is perfect for leisure travelers. Dalia, our hostess, was a huge part of our satisfaction, showing us around. Azzi provided great local knowledge, and Karen ensured our stay was top notch. This is the best resort on that side of the island!

However, there were some issues that took the shine off things. Breakfast at the on-site restaurant didn’t kick off until after 10am on weekends, not ideal for early risers. Some amenities in the room need a serious renovation, and there was no hot water during my stay, which was frustrating. Also, the shower door was installed improperly, leading to minor mishaps. There’s definitely a sense that the place could use a bit more attention in terms of maintenance overall.
