Beautiful colonial building, friendly staff, clean and spacious room, great breakfast, lovely courtyards and rooftop.

The rooftop terrace at Parador Santa Maria La Real provided breathtaking views of the city. I couldn't tear myself away from the stunning sight of the clock tower and cathedral from our room on the 3rd floor. The room itself was charming, with a brick vaulted ceiling and double door balconies. The massive bed and traditional furniture added a touch of history to our stay. The staff was friendly and always responsive to our needs. The hotel's colonial decor and preserved atmosphere made us feel like we had stepped back in time. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, views, and historical charm.

This centrally located hotel provides a convenient base for exploring the charming old center of the city. With its beautiful courtyards and underground passages full of interesting artifacts, it offers a unique and characterful experience. The staff, for the most part, are helpful and friendly. The rooms vary in amenities, but they are generally comfortable and well-maintained. The rooftop terrace, with its stunning views, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. The location makes it easy to get around and there is a well-rated cafe nearby.

Despite the hotel's many positives, there were some issues with the front desk receptionist who lacked charm and failed to address concerns over a re-sheathed hypodermic needle found in the room.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the city which made it easy for us to explore the area. The breakfast offered was very good and the room was not only comfortable but also very clean. We enjoyed the unique and interesting décor of the hotel, there were lots of fascinating items scattered throughout.

The elevator was situated quite far from our room which made some noise that we could hear. , the towels provided in the bathroom were quite small in number and the junior suite we stayed in didn't offer complimentary water.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we felt transported into a world of luxury. The attentive service was outstanding, and our relaxation began with the friendly and welcoming staff. The facilities are exceptional with a full-service spa, including a sauna, jacuzzi, and spa lounge, as well as a leisure/TV room and a well-manicured garden area. We loved the sun terrace where we could take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. The restaurant provided exquisite dining options with local delicacies and international flavors, and the bar area was a perfect place to unwind in a stylish and elegant environment.

The one minor issue we experienced during our stay was the lack of privacy in some of the rooms. The window arrangements were not optimal, and it was challenging to maintain privacy while still allowing enough natural light into the room.
