We loved the cleanliness of the hotel, with spotless rooms and common areas. The hotel facilities were great, especially the big lockers that provided ample storage space for our belongings. The location was perfect, close to the metro station and within walking distance of the beautiful Ipanema beach. Furthermore, being in a safe area, we felt comfortable exploring the neighborhood and trying out the delicious restaurants nearby.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The rooms were cramped and could get quite warm, making it difficult to sleep. the noise levels were high, making it challenging to get a good night's rest.

I stayed at El Misti Hostel Ipanema for several trips in Rio, and it exceeded my expectations. Compared to other hostels in the city, El Misti is remarkably clean, bug-free, and quiet. The staff is amazing, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, metro, and buses. They even returned my lost travel pillow! Plus, the bartender is fantastic, remembering your drink preferences. Highly recommend!

This hostel is wonderfully close to the beach, only a block away. You can easily spend your days soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves. The location is also surrounded by many restaurants, so you'll never go hungry. Everywhere in the neighborhood, you'll find plenty of options for dining and exploring.

The noise levels at night can be a bit bothersome when people come back to the hostel, but the rooms are designed in a way to minimize the disturbance.

Stayed at a fantastic hostel in a prime location, with easy access to the airport and metro. The staff was amazing and always went above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. The rooms were clean and equipped with air conditioning. The hostel had a great atmosphere, with common areas to meet fellow travelers and a bar/terrace. Breakfast had a variety of options to choose from and there were convenient USB charging ports throughout.

The staff, especially Matilda and Pia, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided me with resources and information to enhance my stay in Rio. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the location is perfect, just a short walk from Ipanema beach. The surrounding area offers plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants. The bunk beds in the rooms were sturdy and had convenient shelves with plug and USB sockets. The room and bathroom were clean and simple.

I recently stayed at El Misti Hostel Ipanema for a few days during my trip to Rio. The location was absolutely perfect, with the stunning Ipanema beach just minutes away. The hostel also had a great association with a nearby barraca, making beach days even more enjoyable. The staff at the hostel were truly amazing, providing friendly and helpful service throughout my stay. They were fun, informative, and made my experience in Rio extra special. This was my second stay at El Mist and it was even better than the first time. The manager is doing a great job creating a fantastic hostel experience. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and near many restaurants and amenities. The reception staff is extremely helpful and provided great recommendations. It's a great place for solo travelers to meet others and have a memorable time.

No kitchen facilities, room cleaning was inconsistent, and excursions weren't well advertised.
