our recent stay in niagara-on-the-lake was incredible and exceeded our expectations. canterbury inn provided us with a relaxed, homey atmosphere and the owners were friendly and accommodating. the breakfast was delicious, especially the coffee, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. the peaceful garden and nearby attractions added to our wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic experience in a cozy, lakeside hotel in the heart of the town. Our room was well-maintained and had a private bathroom. The service was excellent, with attentive staff, and highly responsive to our needs. Breakfast was served on time in a beautiful setting and we especially loved the delicious date and nut loaves. The stunning lake views from the hotel are something we won't forget easily. We enjoyed evening walks to the old town, only minutes away.

During my Christmas stay at this lovely inn, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful complementary mulled wine and hot cocoa offered to guests in the cozy lobby. the inn is conveniently located within walking distance to the charming downtown area and its many shops and restaurants. the quiet and serene surroundings make for a relaxing retreat. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden area which offered a peaceful oasis.

While the continental breakfast was adequate, with pastries and juice, I would have enjoyed some more variety such as eggs or other protein options. the beds were a bit firmer than I prefer, but still comfortable enough for a relaxing stay.
