A hidden gem in a beautiful setting. The hostel reception was well organized and the staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The showers and toilets were plentiful and clean. The TV lounges with basic kitchen facilities were a nice bonus. The YHA/HI discount made it incredible value for money, averaging around $50 per night. The hostel had free unlimited high-speed wifi in the lobby area and wired internet in the rooms. The whole place was modern, well looked after, and had good housekeeping standards. The location was away from the noise of downtown Vancouver and close to the most beautiful part of the city, with lots of great walking and hiking trails nearby. The frequent buses into the city made it easy to explore. Despite a few drawbacks like no wifi in the dorm rooms and the distance from downtown, overall I highly recommend this hostel.

I recently stayed at a hostel located in a beautiful area near the beach and a park. The campus atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. The hostel offered individual rooms at an affordable price. The bathrooms were very clean and the bed was decently comfortable. The fast cable internet was a plus, allowing me to stay connected. Additionally, there were many options nearby for a quick breakfast or lunch. I would recommend this hostel for a budget-friendly stay.

There were some drawbacks. The walls were paper thin, making it difficult to sleep with noise from other rooms.

Great location inside UBC campus, surrounded by a beautiful environment. The proximity to bus exchange makes exploring the city easy. Enjoyed the calm and peaceful surrounding area. The shared kitchen with a fridge was convenient. The provision of towels in the room was a nice touch. Very safe and good value for money. Access to a launderette was a bonus.

Although there were a few drawbacks, such as no plates or bowls provided in the shared kitchen and the need to pay for plastic utensils, as well as the outdated bathroom and uncomfortable bed, overall I recommend Pacific Spirit Hostel for budget-friendly accommodation in Vancouver. It served its purpose for my visit and the location was a definite plus.
