The hotel was easily accessible to restaurants and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. the room itself was spacious and comfortable, with great features such as a large bathroom with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best aspects of the stay was the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide range of tasty options to cater to everyone's tastes.

The lack of consistent service and communication skills from some of the staff put a bit of a damper on the stay. Despite this, I was still able to enjoy the key location and the comfortable and well-appointed room.

The non-smoking rooms still had a lingering smell of stale smoke, which was a bit unpleasant. the front desk staff seemed a bit unhappy and didn't provide the friendliest service, lacking smiles and enthusiasm.

We were pleasantly surprised by the fast check-out process at The Hongta Hotel, making our departure hassle-free. The room itself was fantastic, with luxurious bedding, a spacious bathroom, and great amenities. We were delighted to find a plate of fresh fruit waiting for us upon arrival, and the turn-down service included chocolates on the pillows. The daily complimentary bottles of water were a thoughtful touch. The location of the hotel was excellent, with restaurants nearby and just a 10-minute walk to the metro station. We even had a view of the impressive Shanghai Tower from our room. The building itself looked modern and beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the great Chinese restaurant, although it was a bit pricey. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, offering a wide selection of dishes, including delicious pancakes and omelettes. The complimentary shoe-shine service was a nice touch, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel offers exclusive amenities that fulfilled our luxurious needs. the indoor swimming pool and sauna are well-maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere. the massage service was excellent, and the room's advantages such as the comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom increased our level of comfort. The restaurant had a delicious menu and the bar/lounge area was perfect for drinks. Cons: We had a minor issue with the slow room service, but it was solved quickly by the staff.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, close to two metro stations and with plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist us. When one of our suitcases broke, they made sure it was fixed in time for our flight. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip in China. The hotel facilities were modern and luxurious, with a 24/7 gym and English-speaking personnel. It was perfect for families, with a wide variety of food options for breakfast. The service provided by Joel from Argentina was extremely helpful and professional.

The value for money was great and the room was fantastic - comfortable bed, fantastic view, nice and quiet, and super fast wifi. The hotel's location was very convenient, within walking distance from the subway station. The staff treated me with kindness and were ready to help with anything I needed, from recommending shopping places to arranging transportation. The gym and pool facilities were amazing, especially the 24-hour gym with top-notch equipment. The breakfast had a huge variety of food, perfect for families, and the hotel also had nice relaxing areas to unwind after exploring the city. Special shoutout to Joel from Argentina for his exceptional service.

The only improvement I would suggest for the breakfast is to extend the collection of jam and European meat & cheese options.

The Hongta Hotel, part of the Luxury Collection, offered a wonderful stay in Shanghai. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed with comfortable beds and a roomy bathroom. The location was ideal, being centrally located. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices, perfect for starting the day. The indoor pool was superb and a great way to unwind. The staff was polite and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and convenient stay in Shanghai.
