On our last night, we stayed at Melia Cartagena Karmairi and it was the perfect way to unwind after traveling. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The hotel is in a quiet location, right by a beautiful long beach with grey sand. We had the most delicious ceviche made by the talented Peruvian chef. The hotel also has a nice pool and plenty of chill-out spots. The massages were amazing and I highly recommend treating yourself to one.

For us, it was ideal.

Best aspects of our Easter stay were the beautiful pool and the proximity to the beach. the pool provided a refreshing oasis to cool off from the Cartagena heat, and the beach was just a short walk away, allowing us to easily enjoy the sand and waves. Additionally, the breakfast provided at the hotel was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from.

Worst aspects of our Easter stay were the poor room we were given, with no view and even a baby tarantula found inside. the receptionist was not helpful in addressing our concerns during check-in and did not provide clear financial details.

The beach itself was disappointing. the sand was dirty and the area was littered with trash, not what you would expect from a Caribbean beach.
