The location was perfect, as it was close to the party area but still in a nice and safe neighborhood. The hotel facilities were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The staff, including the amazing owner, were extremely helpful and friendly. They made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time. I also loved the on-site restaurant which served delicious bowls. this hostel had great cleanliness, friendly staff, and a convenient location near bars and restaurants.

Absolutely nothing.

The hostel was very spacious and clean, with plenty of T.P. and hand soap in the bathroom. the staff, including the owner, were incredibly kind and helpful, and most of them spoke English. the Wi-Fi worked great and there was always hot water. Plus, the common areas were perfect for meeting other guests and hanging out.

That the hostel was located up a hill, which could be tiring to walk up when you're tired. it was sometimes difficult to find a lighter for the stove because smokers would take them.

the room, although basic, was clean and comfortable. the hostel had a relaxing area that was spacious and nicely decorated. the kitchen was well equipped, and there were plenty of food options nearby. the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were super helpful. the location was perfect, close to bars and coffee places but still quiet enough for a relaxed vibe. it was an excellent value for the money.

Felt so at home, no reason to complain

The location of the hostel was great, situated in a lively area with plenty of restaurants, bars, and nightlife options close by. It was also conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. the hostel had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with cozy common areas and a beautiful outdoor space to relax.

The outdoor shower area, located next to the kitchen, wasn't very appealing. It would have been better if it was separate.

The staff at this hostel were cool, helpful, and really friendly. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. the kitchen, bathrooms, and chill-space were always clean, creating a nice and easy atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and also meet fun people to go out and explore the surroundings. the hostel offers great tours that showcase the history and transformation of the city, which I found to be a unique and informative experience.

There were a few issues that made my stay less enjoyable. there was an uncomfortable encounter in the shower area, where there was an open and co-ed setup.

I got great value for my money at Yolo Hostel. The room was comfortable and spacious, with cozy pillows and soft blankets. The location was perfect, with a peaceful river outside and just a short walk to the vibrant area of El Poblado. Highly recommend Yolo!

Breakfast offerings could be more diverse.

As women travelling alone, we really enjoyed the friendly and helpful owner. The hostel had a nice common area with hammocks and a fully equipped kitchen. The vibe was great and there were plenty of good restaurants and places to go out close by.

From the moment I arrived, I felt like a VIP guest. Federico, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. the hostel itself is spacious and has a beautiful garden with relaxing hammocks. the bathrooms and toilets were kept clean and the beds were comfortable. the kitchen facilities had everything I needed to prepare my own meals. What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. They made me feel like part of the family. One highlight was the transformation tour of Medellin led by Federico, which was informative and truly unforgettable. I also appreciated the convenient breakfast place next door, Betty's Bowls, which served delicious and healthy meals.

I recently stayed at Yolo Hostel for a few nights during my trip to Medellin. As a solo traveler, I found the hostel to be perfect for young people like myself. The location was great, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The room and bathrooms were clean, and I loved the nice common area. Additionally, the breakfast at the cafe next to the hostel was delicious and healthy. I had a really pleasant stay at Yolo Hostel.

The hostel is super close to everything in El Poblado, making it convenient to explore the main party area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with great showers and a lovely courtyard to hang out and meet other guests. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing translation assistance for those with limited Spanish. The location is close to the party area but far away enough to have a decent sleep.
