Funky Monkey Lodge offers a relaxing and beautiful jungle setting just a short walk from the beach. The outdoor shower and yoga studio were delightful, and the surf lessons with Nacho were a highlight. However, be prepared for morning noise from monkeys, and coffee availability could improve. Great for solo travelers or those seeking a laid-back getaway.

The room was incredibly beautiful with a stunning terrace. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making me feel right at home. The food at the onsite restaurant was top-notch, particularly the milanesa. The pool area was vibrant, and the wildlife, including monkeys and iguanas, added to the experience. I left with unforgettable memories!

Oh, those Bernese Fries were a revelation! Perfectly crispy and a must-have. Plus, the location was ideal—close enough to the action yet delightfully serene. The beautiful grounds are well-maintained, and the visit from local monkeys added a special touch to our stay.

On the flip side, coffee could definitely step up its game. it always seemed low on supply. And while those steep stairs provided a workout, it would’ve been nice to have clearer restaurant hours to plan our meals better.

Funky Monkey Lodge is an absolutely incredible place to unwind and connect with nature! The tree top apartment is truly unique, boasting a jacuzzi on the deck where we enjoyed magical sunsets. The staff is so kind and supportive. they really do treat you like family. The location is perfect for both surfing and relaxation as it’s just a short stroll to the beach. I highly recommend the yoga classes. they are fantastic!

Coffee was often low in supply and lacked quality!!! The communication regarding restaurant hours could have been clearer!!! Steep stairs might be a challenge for some, and mosquitoes at night were overwhelming!!!

We enjoyed the beautiful jungle vibes and various activities available, like zip lining and SUP yoga. Our kids loved the spacious living area, and the snorkeling trip to Tortuga Island was a hit! The tree top apartment even had a fantastic view of the sea.

My kids wished for more kid-friendly meal options.

Funky Monkey Lodge provides a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff who genuinely care about guests. The bungalows are unique, clean, and offer a beautiful jungle view. however, the occasional noise from the area can be noticeable. Surfing with Nacho was a highlight, and the food, especially sushi night, was exceptional. Great for families and those looking for a fun getaway!

All good, fulfills its purpose. Beautiful scenic terrace with a jacuzzi.
