We had an incredible stay at Hotel La Palapa! The location is unbeatable—right off the beach, making it super convenient for beach lovers. Our Supreme room was spacious and clean, complete with a reliable A/C that kept us cool. Plus, the provided beach chairs and hammocks were perfect for lounging! Rolando was a gem, giving us a thorough tour and assisting with transportation elegantly.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and were always ready to help with

recommendations or arranging transportation. Our room had a comfortable bed and was very clean. however, it did have a slight musty smell initially. The beach view was breathtaking, and we loved relaxing in the hammocks right outside our room.

Location is unbeatable! Steps from the beach, the staff truly feels like family. Rolando made our stay unforgettable! Sunbathing in hammocks and enjoying excellent dining options rounds off the experience! So convenient! !

The security situation raised concerns for us. a break-in occurred, leaving us feeling uneasy. Even basic amenities like bathroom updates seemed neglected, reminding us that every stay has hidden flaws to consider.

staying at la palapa was a real eye-opener! the supposed happy hour cocktails were horrendously weak—seriously, how can a ‘paradise location’ justify that? i also had to navigate slippery stairs from the back alley, which is hardly a five-star entrance! and let’s be honest, i expected some special treatment, but alas, apparently that’s just too much to ask.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel La Palapa! Our room had an amazing ocean view, just 50 feet away from the beach. Plus, the beach chairs and hammocks provided were perfect for lounging. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially Rolando, who arranged our shuttle and gave us a great tour of the hotel!

The beach was just a hop, skip, and a jump away, and I could sit in them hammocks all day. Staff was friendly as pie, especially Rolando—helped us feel right at home. That breakfast was somethin' else too, I tell ya! Really made our stay feel special. And folks, don’t miss those monkeys in the palms!

the wildlife is incredible, from iguanas to howler monkeys right on the property. one night, the fire show was too loud while we were trying to relax.

Great beach access and outdoor dining area! Wi-Fi was reliable, but restaurant prices were high.

the restaurant was quite active at night and the food served was good. our room had great ocean views and was close to lovely shops and restaurants. parking was secure and check-in was smooth 😄

It was just a nice choice for a city escape in Tamarindo with good price-quality ratio. The room I had was really modern with icy cold AC, making my stay comfortable. Bring some extra snacks since there’s no onsite bar or restaurant.

The beachside location is ideal, with easy access to sunbathing and nearby dining options. I enjoyed the spacious Standard Room, complete with an upstairs loft and a mini refrigerator which made it convenient for snacks. Freshly baked European bread at breakfast offered a delightful start to the day. However, the staircase from the parking area can be tricky and feels less secure at night, which detracts from an otherwise great experience.
