We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants. The hotel facilities were beautiful, with well-kept grounds and a lovely outdoor pool. The location was perfect, as it was close to town and offered amazing views of the surrounding nature. The food at the on-site restaurant was fantastic, with interesting and meticulously prepared dishes. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff at Monteverde Lodge & Gardens are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to help their guests. The location is excellent, being close to the Monteverde Forest Reserve and the town of Santa Elena. The property has beautiful gardens and private trails to explore. The breakfast is phenomenal with a variety of options and fresh, delicious food. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a nice patio.

Felt like a fairy tale, no reason to complain.

Best aspects of our stay were the attentive and friendly staff. They were so helpful and accommodating, especially with our special needs daughter. We also loved the stunning grounds of the hotel. It was such a treat to explore the trails at night with the flashlights provided.

Worst aspects were the noise from the hallways, as we could hear people talking even when we were in the bathroom. Another negative was the lack of a coffee maker in the room.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay, even leaving a pitcher of water in my room each night. The location of the lodge is also a highlight, with easy access to restaurants in town and the beautiful Monteverde and Santa Elena reserves just a short drive away.

Loved the plant-based menu, felt healthy and virtuous indulging in pumpkin risotto, bean stew with chickpea gnocchi, cauliflower tempura with pineapple and curry sauce, and miso-glazed eggplant. Luxury amid nature, life-changing adventures, and authentic human connection. A true paradise!

Oh, I just wished there were more bugs in my room. I felt so lonely without them crawling around.

We loved our stay at this lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, remembering our names and dietary restrictions. The restaurant prepared amazing gluten-free meals with delicious bread. The concierge helped us arrange guided hikes and a sunset horseback tour. The lodge's location was perfect for wildlife sightings and the grounds were beautiful. We felt relaxed and immersed in nature.

As someone who loves exploring nature, my stay at Monteverde Lodge & Gardens By Boena was absolutely perfect. I stayed for one night and was blown away by the beautiful gardens and pool area, which made for a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. The food at the restaurant was some of the best I've had in Costa Rica, and the rustic feel of the hotel, with its open fire in the evenings, added to the charm. The highlight of my stay was having Samuel as our guide for one of our trips - he was hands down the top guide there.

The hotel's location is simply mind-blowing, with a short driveway leading to the car park and a stunning view of a deep forest-covered valley on the other side. The peaceful seating and viewing areas, along with the delightful swimming pool, adds to the super relaxing atmosphere. The guided tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve was jaw-dropping, offering exciting sightings of beautiful quetzels and a regal alpha male howler monkey. The hotel restaurant served the best food we had during our entire 2-week stay, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The resort grounds were beautiful and the wildlife sightings, including white-faced monkeys and a friendly coati, added an extra wow factor. The barman's knowledge and amazing cocktails, along with the beautiful grounds and high-standard food, were all super impressive. The close proximity to an ecological sanctuary with protected cloud forest walks was a bonus, and we saw lots of nature. We wished we had stayed longer to enjoy everything the hotel had to offer, including the stunning sunset views from the room balconies.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, within walking distance to downtown Monteverde. the staff were friendly and provided helpful suggestions for local activities. the view of nature and the gardens from the hotel was amazing, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby butterfly garden, rainforest, and coffee plantations.

The price of the hotel was quite expensive for the quality of the rooms. the sheets were thin and the bed was uncomfortable.

My stay at Monteverde Lodge & Gardens By Boena was incredible! We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed the newer, modernized rooms. The bed was so comfy and we loved the hiking trails and activities available on the property. One morning, we even spotted a toucan right from our bedroom window! The hotel also had live music at night, which was a great touch while relaxing by the fireplace. The restaurant felt like Michelin star standard, and the level of service from Jessica was a highlight of our stay. The whole hotel was stunning and the room had a beautiful forest view. The breakfast was delicious, and we even had a great massage in the hotel spa. This was truly the best hotel of our stay in Costa Rica, and we wish we could've stayed longer!
