Beautiful beach, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, rainforest-like location with Scarlet Macaws and monkeys, private beach, comfortable apartment.

During our stay on the west coast of CR, we found a hidden gem in the midst of the jungle, boasting beautiful nearby beaches. The resort provided private small pools by the apartments, towels for the beach and showering, as well as good amenities. The salads were fresh and varied, with a few veggie dishes, while some rooms had coffee makers, safes, and spacious, airy interiors.

The resort was not easily connected by road and required transport to get to other areas, making it difficult for those without a car.

The facilities at Punta Leona were incredible. We had access to two beautiful beaches, a well-maintained pool, and a range of fun activities like mini-golf and table tennis. The Playa Blanca beach in particular was stunning, perfect for swimming and watching the sunset. The weather and breezes off the Pacific made our stay even more enjoyable. Despite being somewhat isolated, the hotel had everything we needed for a relaxing and active vacation. The staff were helpful and accommodating, allowing us to use the facilities before and after check-in and check-out times. The Grill Restaurant served delicious meals at great prices. The cleanliness of the hotel and its proximity to the beaches were also big pluses.

Despite these positives, there were a few drawbacks. The drive to the secured compound where the hotel is located was long, winding, and rough, which made coming and going a bit challenging.

We recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel for the last day of our vacation, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, close to the airport, making it convenient for those looking to relax on the beach before heading home. The beach here is absolutely stunning, with rare white sand that is a sight to behold. And the best part? We were entertained during breakfast by the playful monkeys that would visit from the nearby forest, making it a truly memorable experience.

I recently stayed at Punta Leona for a few days and it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The amenities were great, from the excellent WiFi to the mini fridge that kept our items cold without any noise. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and we had more than enough toiletries and towels. The beds were comfortable and we slept peacefully. The food at the different restaurants on the property was delicious and the service was prompt. The pools were clean and the private beaches were stunning. it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature around.

Totally recommend this hotel.

My family had a fabulous weekend getaway at Punta Leona. The nature walks, helpful staff, and delicious food at Carabela's and the Grill were highlights. We loved the amenities like the pools and mini-golf, and the daily visits from the titis during breakfast added some extra fun to our stay. Special shoutout to Jario at reception for his exceptional customer service and assistance with organizing day trips. The resort's location amidst wildlife was breathtaking.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch - the rooms were clean, no mold or damp smells, and the bathroom grout was spotless. The hotel facilities were impressive, offering activities like table tennis, swimming, and mini-golf. The location was perfect, with the hotel being very close to a beautiful beach and just a short distance from San Jose.

Great location, private beaches, pools, hot tubs. Wonderful grill dining experience. Butterfly garden, rain forest trail, and bird walks were enjoyable. Lots of Scarlet macaws and monkeys around restaurant. Nature walks, layout, transportation, helpful staff, housekeeping, and tasty food were highlights. Amenities like pools, mini-golf, and markets were delightful. Morning titis during breakfast added fun.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was very convenient as it was close to shops and commercial services. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the room service was outstanding. The spa and wellness centre was an added bonus which offered a relaxing experience. I also loved the swimming pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, a perfect spot to unwind. The beach access was great, allowing me to enjoy water sports and other activities.

This place was a perfect escape for a family vacation, and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

As adventure travelers, we absolutely loved the location of Hotel Punta Leona. With two stunning beaches within walking distance, including the breathtaking Playa Blanca, we couldn't have asked for a better spot. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the nature walks and early-morning bird walks were a great way to explore the surrounding area. The layout of the property was perfect, and we appreciated the ease of using transportation. The amenities, from the pools to mini-golf, were a delightful addition to our stay. And let's not forget the delicious food at Carabela's and the Grill - truly memorable!

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The staff was friendly and always ready to help. The restaurant had fantastic food with different themed nights. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel facilities, especially the pools, were clean and enjoyable. The private beaches were beautiful and easily accessible. The location was great, close to the buffet restaurant and a short drive to Carera NP. There was ample parking and the transportation options were convenient. We loved sitting on the terrace and watching the wildlife, including birds, iguanas, and even an armadillo.
