Felt like being home, no complaints.

Quetzal Valley Cabins provided exactly what we were looking for - quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains. The cabins were comfortable with electric heaters and plenty of warm comforters. The property manager, Nelson, was helpful and provided transportation, taking us to various locations in the area. The hosts, Peter and Francisca, were excellent in providing us with pre-arrival information and even offered to drive us back to San Jose at the end of our stay.

The location of the cabins offers breathtaking views of the mountains and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Guests can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, and exploring nature trails. Some cabins have spacious rooms, accommodating up to 5 people, and amenities such as WiFi and TV with HDMI ports. The electric fireplace in certain cabins adds warmth and coziness on cool nights.

Limited communication due to language barrier.

I recently stayed at a cozy wooden cabin in a beautiful valley surrounded by woods. The cabin was well-heated and had great facilities for families, making it perfect for cooking for children. The hot water and blankets kept us warm, and the mountain views were spectacular. The location was ideal for birdwatching, with a variety of highland species including hummingbirds, toucanets, and quetzals. The trails in the area were excellent for exploring, and we also had direct access to the Savegre river. it was a peaceful and natural setting, perfect for spending time with family and friends.

What an incredible experience! The cabin we stayed in at Quetzal Valley was simply charming. Tucked away in a serene green valley, we felt completely at peace surrounded by nature. The wooden interior added to the rustic ambiance, and the kitchen had everything we needed. To top it off, we were lucky enough to see a beautiful Quetzal right outside our dining room! This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The cabin may be basic, but it is clean and functional. The view is simply jaw-dropping! The trust and hospitality shown by the staff here is almost unheard of in this day and age. We have been coming to this hidden gem for over a decade now and will definitely be back. The peacefulness and the abundance of birdlife around the cabin is a nature-lover's dream. The women who serve breakfast and dinner are incredibly welcoming and the traditional Costa Rican food they serve is super tasty. Plus, the bird feeders outside provide a delightful experience of enjoying the birds while dining. We also appreciate the convenience of free parking, the availability of cookware, and the option of paid shuttle service. The cabin may not have a flat-screen TV, but who needs that when you have the beauty of nature all around you? The VIP check-in/-out service made us feel like true VIPs. The hiking, fishing, and horseback riding opportunities nearby added an extra dose of adventure to our stay. And the best part? No pets allowed and no smoking on site, ensuring a clean and fresh environment. We highly recommend this place to fellow travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in a peaceful and natural setting.

Incredible Easter Experience. We had an incredible Easter getaway at this charming cabin. The prices were reasonable and the view of the lush valley was breathtaking. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to walking trails through the Costa Rican forest. The fresh mountain air was invigorating and added to the overall experience. It was truly a special and unique Easter vacation.

Some Hiking Trails and Parking. Although we enjoyed our stay, we found that some of the hiking trails in the area were poorly marked and rugged.
