I recently stayed at a wonderful hostel near the airport called Hosteria Colibri. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure that I had everything I needed. The hostel had great amenities, including a pool and an outdoor sala court where I played soccer with other travelers. I even went on an excursion to Quito with some of the hostel people and staff, which was a fantastic experience. If you're a young solo traveler, I highly recommend this place!

The hotel's stairs were slippery and steep in some places outside, which may be difficult for guests with mobility issues. The bathroom was a little tight and there wasn't a good place to put things.
