I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Avallon for a few days. The location is stunning, with direct access to the GR footpath and beautiful gardens and terrace overlooking the river. The hotel, which has been a beloved establishment since 1917, exudes a classic car motoring tour vibe. We booked a superior room with a balcony that offered a delightful view of the millstream. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for enjoying drinks and dining by the river. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our evening meal memorable, even going as far as attempting to get the waterwheel turning. It was a relaxed and enjoyable stay, and I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns and countryside.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! the value for money was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail and high level of service provided. The location of the hotel was simply stunning, nestled in a green valley just outside Avallon. The small river that flowed through the valley added a tranquil touch to the surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, with basic amenities and a small bathroom equipped with a shower. But the highlight for me was the really large wraparound balcony in the rooms. It provided a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beautiful views. And not to forget, the breakfast spread was delicious and offered a variety of options to suit everyone's taste.

All in all, our stay at this hotel was perfect.

The location was excellent, with a beautiful river flowing nearby that made for a great atmosphere. the rooms were spacious and modern, with clean and comfortable beds to ensure a good night's sleep. One advantage was the delicious food served at the restaurant, which exceeded our expectations.

There were a few minor issues that detracted from our overall experience. the Wi-Fi was slow, which made it difficult to stay connected on occasion.
