The location was perfect, within walking distance of the harbor and ferry. The triple room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent, with plenty of choices and a good amount of time to enjoy it. We appreciated the helpful host who gave us tips on catching the ferry and avoiding long lines. we had a great experience.

The value for money at Akkeri Guesthouse was excellent, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything but still quiet. The staff treated us wonderfully, with a kind and knowledgeable owner/manager.

We even discovered that it was just 100m away from the spot where the helicopter scene from the Walter Mitty movie was filmed. The guesthouse itself was modern and beautifully renovated, and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was fair, and we especially enjoyed sitting on the nice terrace. The beauty of the town and the surrounding Snaefellsness peninsula has convinced us that we will definitely be coming back here!
