We had a wonderful stay at a charming farm guesthouse in a peaceful location. the owner and his son were extremely helpful and gave us great tips on activities and places to visit in the area. the shared kitchen, although with only 1 cooking plate, was clean and well-equipped, and we were able to prepare our breakfast easily. the shared dining room had maps, photos, and leaflets available, which were useful for planning our day. the floors were kept clean, as shoes were left at the entrance. we felt at home and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

the host family went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, adding an extra bed and crib to our room for our family of four. They provided fantastic tips on local attractions, including a hidden gem that few tourists discover. We even had the opportunity to witness a volcanic eruption through a video shared by the hosts. the tour of the farm was a unique experience, especially for our three-year-old son who got to bottle feed the baby calves. the guesthouse was recently remodeled and the whole top floor of the family home was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the warm company of the host family made us feel like old friends. If you want an authentic Icelandic experience, you can't go wrong with Dalssel Farm.

And the breakfast. wow! A wide variety of delicious choices. the farm atmosphere and breathtaking views add to the unique charm of this property. The guesthouse is located in a wonderful place, right by four beautiful waterfalls that you can see from the house. It is also close to the ferry for the island where we saw puffins. The guesthouse is situated on a working farm and the family who runs it is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious with huge bathrooms and the common spaces are clean.

stayed in a super close and cozy guesthouse with cows and horses on a diary farm in Holmabaeir. Comfy bed, lovely breakfast, and friendly host who gave us great sightseeing tips. Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and waking up to cows mooing. Highly recommend for a quaint and charming stay.
