I had a great value for my money at the cottages. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the location was stunning with gorgeous views over the lake. The staff treated me well and the check-in process was easy.

The breakfast option could be improved by providing more variety or options for guests.

We stayed at the cozy A-frame cottages at Ormurinn and had a wonderful time. The total privacy of the cottages, coupled with the breathtaking view of the snowy mountains and the nearby township, made for a truly magical experience. The manager was friendly and efficient during our check-in, and we appreciated the unexpected upgrade to a larger cottage. The facilities in the cottage were top-notch, including a fully furnished kitchen and a comfortable bed. The WiFi connection was strong, and we loved being able to relax and watch Netflix on the smart TV. our stay was fantastic and we would highly recommend Ormurinn Cottages for a unique and enjoyable getaway.

Amazing stay! Loved the location with easy access and beautiful views of the lake and city. The cottages were cute and modern with all necessary kitchen appliances. The living room had the most amazing view over the lake. Check-in and out was easy, and the information provided was helpful. A great advantage was being able to prepare our own food and enjoy the calmness of the place while still being close to shops and dining options.

We had an amazing stay at a cottage with a breathtaking view of the lake. the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the communication with the host was seamless. We were even lucky enough to witness the northern lights! the cottage exceeded our expectations and was much better than any of the hotels in town, especially Icelandair Herad. We highly recommend a stay at Ormurinn Cottages for a truly unforgettable experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The stunning lake view from our balcony was the highlight of our trip. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to the main roads. The cleanliness of the cottage was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were great. We especially loved the BBQ grill stove on the terrace, which made cooking a breeze. The staff was helpful and responsive, making our experience even more enjoyable. We were also pleased to find a bike path nearby, allowing us to easily explore the surroundings.

The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive. Late arrival was not a problem at all. The cute and cozy cottage by the lake provided beautiful views. The cabin was clean and adorable, with bunk beds and a loft for sleeping. The kitchenette and seating area were nice. The proximity of the cabins provided privacy and a great view of the lake.

We loved waking up to the sight of the lake and the bustling bird life all around us. the location was perfect, with easy access to the town and plenty of opportunities for exploring the surrounding area. the facilities were top-notch, with a well-equipped kitchen and a barbecue grill on the terrace. It was great having the option to cook outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. the key box access made check-in a breeze and eliminated the worry of losing the key.

We drove past this hidden gem before realizing it was our booked accommodation at Ormurinn Cottages. the location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful scenery facing the lake. the cottage may be small, but it was well-equipped with a kitchenette and utensils. the main bed was comfortable, and the place was overall clean and pleasant. the host was super nice, even going as far as calling us when we forgot some food. the friendly staff also quickly resolved a small misunderstanding regarding the number of people staying. We even had the opportunity to witness the northern lights, although the weather didn't cooperate that night. For our family of two parents and a 2 and a half-year-old child, it was the perfect place to stay. the view of the lake was awesome, the kitchenette was well-equipped, and the wifi reception was great. the hosts were very responsive, and the highlight was definitely the porch grill, which made our stay an unbelievable experience. the location was great, just a 2-minute drive from the town center.
