I recently had the pleasure of staying at a luxurious heritage resort in a tiny Chettinadu village. The location was simply stunning, surrounded by several beautifully preserved heritage buildings. The restaurant in the resort offered authentic Chettinad cuisine, which was surprisingly not too spicy. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, always friendly and helpful. The breakfast served at the resort was delicious and satisfying.

As low-budget travellers, we were amazed by the value for money at Chidambara Vilas. The heritage home offers excellent service, comfortable rooms, and a clean environment. The hotel is wheelchair-friendly and even has rooms equipped for those with physical handicaps. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the staff was extremely accommodating, especially with our dietary requests. The beautiful view of the pool from our spacious and comfortable room was an added bonus.

The hotel is situated deep inside Kadiapatty township, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in a calm and serene place, surrounded by the beauty of a small village in the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu.

The restaurant food was not up to standard - it was overpriced and lacked authenticity. There weren't any other dining options in close proximity, so we had to settle for what was available.

Don't miss the complimentary mansion tour. Wish we could have stayed longer. highly recommend this hotel.
