Although the surrounding area seemed busy, the hotel itself provided a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The highlight was definitely the food, which was tasty and satisfying. The rooms were clean and spacious, with ample storage for our belongings. Although there were a few minor issues with the bathroom and the lock to the cabinets, these did not hinder our overall enjoyment of the stay. The rooftop eating area was a nice addition, although it required climbing a flight of stairs. I had a pleasant and budget-friendly experience at Colonel's Retreat and would highly recommend it for travelers visiting the area.
