Despite the enchanting atmosphere, a hiccup on arrival with forgotten bookings and unexpected breakfast charges left a sour taste. Some maintenance issues like mould and unmentioned bee hives took a bit of shine off the historic charm.

My recent stay at this hotel was truly remarkable. the host, Richard, is incredibly warm and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and even helped us with printing our boarding passes. the atmosphere of the old mansion, set in beautiful gardens, was simply enchanting. Breakfast was a delight, with many local ingredients straight from the garden, creating a homely and welcoming experience. the history of the house shines through its fascinating artefacts and paintings, adding to the unique charm of the place.

My Easter getaway was a blast! the beautiful 18th-century mansion had a garden straight out of a fairytale. the owner, Richard, was a gem – welcoming and knowledgeable. Breakfast was a treat, with fruits from the garden and freshly baked goodies. Just a short walk from the charming village, we had easy access to stunning beaches and cozy pubs. the warm ambiance and historical charm made every moment special.

The lack of TV might bother some, but with so much to explore and enjoy nearby, it didn't affect our experience at all.

the 7th Duc de Stacpoole, Richard, warmly welcomed us and made our experience truly memorable. the house and garden are full of history and charm, adorned with beautiful antiques and paintings. the breakfast spread was divine, with homemade jams, fresh fruit from the garden, and a delightful selection of cheese, sausage, and fish. We felt like we were stepping into a museum, surrounded by the authentic heritage of this family home. It was a truly unique and enchanting experience. Thank you, Richard, for your hospitality!

We had a delightful stay at this charming B&B nestled amidst beautiful gardens and offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and a large shower. The host, Richard, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing us with valuable local information. The breakfast spread consisted of fresh fruit, homemade jams, and Richard's own honey. We also enjoyed the option to use the living room and kitchen for making tea. A microwave in the kitchen would be a great addition for more food options.
