Additionally, the beautiful view of the river from the guest house adds to the overall appeal.

The lack of en-suite bathrooms in some of the rooms may be a downside for some guests.

During my recent stay at a charming guest house in the outskirts of town, I had the pleasure of experiencing the best breakfast I've ever had in Ireland. The array of fresh fruits, cheese, and delectable home-baked bread, paired with the finest coffee and tea, was a true delight. But what really stood out was the option to choose warm breakfast dishes from a menu, such as scrumptious smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The host, who welcomed me into his amazing home, shared captivating stories that made breakfast even more enjoyable. The guest house itself had a picturesque exterior with beautiful flower baskets, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. It was also conveniently located, allowing me to easily explore the attractions in the area. The city center and local pubs were just a short 15-minute walk away. Although there was no TV in my room, I didn't mind as there was a comfortable lounge area equipped with one. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay memorable. The breakfast area, situated in a sunroom with a lovely outdoor view of the peaceful river, added to the overall charm of the guest house. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the small size of the room and lack of windows that open, my experience at this guest house was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay in the area.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel just outside of town. This place is conveniently located close to the motorway, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. We were also delighted to find that it is just a short drive to the coast and within close proximity to Dublin Airport.

Breakfast was large with lots of options to choose from and was complimentary. the location was very convenient for me as it was close to where I needed to be. the view from my room was amazing and I loved waking up to it every morning.

The bed was old and uncomfortable, it was hard for me to get a good night's sleep. the bathroom plumbing was also an issue and required a lot of work to properly flush the toilet.

We had an incredible stay at this charming guest house. the owners were delightful and couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort. Their hospitality was second to none. the highlight of our stay was definitely the outstanding breakfast. It was the best breakfast we've ever had, even surpassing those in 5-star hotels. the homemade granolas and brown bread were simply amazing. We would return just for the breakfast alone!

This weekend was a fabulous experience at Killyon Guest House. A breath-taking, quaint, and authentic place to stay. Michael and Sheila's cooking and hospitality were outstanding. Excellent location, easy to reach and perfect for visiting the Boyne Valley. The old, elegant style of the house added to the charm. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Boyne river. Breakfast was varied and abundant, prepared to order. Lots of flowers and decorations gave it an old-fashioned feeling. Looking forward to returning!
