As late arrivals, we were greeted warmly and given rooms on the first floor to avoid disturbing other guests. Our host went above and beyond to assist us when our transfer didn't show up, ensuring a smooth stay. We were also pleased with the hotel's proximity to the port for our cruise transfer and the convenience of water taxis. we highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a central and easily accessible lodging option in Venice.

No working AC, no toilet paper for two days and only cold water for showers. the walls were paper thin, which made for a difficult night's sleep.

This hotel was a great find in terms of value for money. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the prime location within an easy 10 minute walk from Venezia S Lucia and very close to wonderful cafes and restaurants on the banks of the Marin canal in the center of Venice. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, making us feel welcome and ensuring our needs were met. The rooms, in typical Venetian style, may have had tired furnishings but they were clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities we needed.

The shower in my room at Albergo Basilea was absolutely amazing! It was by far the best shower I've had during my entire two-month trip through Europe. The water pressure was perfect and the temperature was just right. It was such a refreshing experience after a long day of sightseeing. Additionally, the location of the hotel was ideal, with everything being within a short walk or boat ride away. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay even more enjoyable. I had a great experience at Albergo Basilea and would definitely recommend it.
