This hotel in Venice was a great find! It offered excellent value for money with its affordable prices, especially considering its location right on the canal. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful recommendations for exploring the nearby Dorsoduro area. The basic amenities were all present, and my room even had a terrace with great views of the canal. The breakfast served here was top-notch, with a selection of quality local food including a refreshing and delicious fresh fruit salad.

Wi-fi could use improvement, but overall everything was great.

The hotel room had great views of the canal and the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. They made an effort to know our names and preferences, which was a nice personal touch. the location of the hotel was also excellent, not far from major attractions and with lovely views of the skyline.

The bathroom was small and the shower was not ideal, causing water to cover the floor and making it slippery. There was also no mirror over the sink initially, but the staff did provide one after we mentioned it.

The value for money at La Calcina was excellent. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the lagoon. The hotel's location on the Giudecca canal was perfect - away from the crowds of central Venice but still close to attractions like St Mark's Basilica and the Doge Palace. The staff were friendly and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One small suggestion to improve breakfast would be to offer a wider variety of pastries and baked goods.

It's so convenient to have several vaporetto stops nearby, making it easy to explore the city, including the famous Guggenheim museum. The basic amenities in the rooms are more than sufficient, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room had a terrace with great views. The AC kept the room nice and cool, which was a relief during the hot summer days. And the breakfast.oh, the breakfast! The quality of the local food was outstanding, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad each morning.

Great Location! the hotel is situated on the water, away from the noise of the main canal, but still easily accessible by Vaparetto. Plus, it's close to museums like Accademia and Peggy Guggenheim. the view from the rooftop terrace is amazing, especially during a late afternoon glass of wine.

The wifi reception on the higher floors was quite poor. I had to go down to the lobby to connect, which was a bit inconvenient.
