Great location, just a short walk to the train station and close to supermarkets and shopping streets. the facilities were decent, with common rooms for socializing. the private room was good value for the price, providing a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The cleanliness of the toilets was subpar, with a persistent unpleasant odor. the room was a bit cold, although a heater was provided.

The small private room won it for me. It was a relief to have my own space after sharing in a dorm. Plus, having the key to the single room gave me peace of mind about the security of my belongings. The staff were wonderful and the common room was a great place to meet fellow travelers. The location was also convenient, with a few tourist areas within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel for low-budget travelers.

The rooms were comfortable and private, giving a more hotel-like feel rather than a hostel. the bathrooms were always clean and I never had to wait in line. the location was convenient, with easy access to the subway and within walking distance to popular attractions. the common room was cozy and a great place to relax and connect with other travelers.

The area around the hotel could feel a bit sketchy at night, with some homeless people and a nearby red light district. As a woman traveling alone, I didn't feel completely at ease walking around after dark.

hotel toyo surpassed my expectations, making it my best stay in osaka! with clean toilets and showers, friendly staff, and convenient amenities like luggage storage and a weighing scale, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. the spacious single room accommodated my big luggage perfectly, and the location near two train stations was a bonus.

had an amazing time at this cozy hostel in Osaka. Met awesome people and made amazing friends in the social hot spot of the common room. The friendly English-speaking staff and well-maintained facilities made my stay perfect. exceeded my expectations!

great location, steps away from subway station. Rooms were clean, comfy bed and loved the futon and pillows. Staff was kind and managed to get our rooms next to each other. Enjoyed my time and will definitely come back again!

We had a great stay at this hotel! It is conveniently located near JR Shinimamiya and Subway Dobutsuenmae station, making it easy to explore famous spots like Minami, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Tennoji, and the rest of the city. the surrounding area is filled with stores and restaurants, and there's even a food street where you can try local delicacies. the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and the reception provided us with lots of useful information. Our Japanese style room was comfortable with futon beds on tatami mats. we highly recommend this hotel for solo or couple travelers.
