I had an amazing traditional Japanese onsen experience at a ryokan. the staff at Matsuzakaya Honten were incredibly helpful and the place itself was beautiful. My room had a private open-air bath that was so tranquil. Upon arrival, I was treated to an enormous traditional dinner and the next morning, a delicious traditional breakfast.

We had an amazing city trip and our stay was fabulous. the location was perfect with easy access to all the tourist buses and attractions. the authentic Japanese atmosphere was simply amazing, taking us back to ancient times.

We had to climb a few steps to get to our room. there was no shower in the room, but it was available in a common area.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The location was breathtaking, nestled in a valley and very close to a bus stop. The service was top notch with housekeeping keeping everything pristine. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The room amenities were great, with heating and air conditioning. I especially loved the terrace and the in-room safe. The free toiletries were appreciated, and the electric kettle was a nice touch. The flat-screen TV provided great entertainment. The restaurant and bar were great, and the special diet menus were a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the back massage was fantastic! The garden area was beautiful, and the leisure/ TV room was a relaxing place to unwind. And of course, the hot spring bath and open-air bath were simply heavenly! The facilities all had great Wi-Fi, and the free parking and luggage storage were very convenient. The 24-hour reception was always helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at a traditional Japanese hotel in Hakone. the rooms were stunning, especially the one with the outdoor private onsen. the Saisheki breakfast and dinner included in the price were exceptional. the staff were amazing and we felt truly grateful for their generosity. The private onsen was a highlight of our New Year stay. It was so relaxing and we loved having the option to rent one in our room. the location was perfect for us as it was secluded and allowed us to enjoy a peaceful getaway.

That the public onsen did not provide towels, so we had to bring our own from the room. the hotel was quite big and we had to walk up and down stairs in the corridors.
