I recently stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel in Kyoto for a few days and it was absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect, right in the center of the city, within walking distance to the main area of Kawaramachi and even Gion if you don't mind a 20-minute walk. The hotel itself is a hidden gem, clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of Japanese buffet-style side dishes and delicious main dishes. The staff were professional and always greeted us with a smile. a great experience.

I recently stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel in downtown Kyoto for a few nights. The staff went above and beyond to help me book activities not only in Kyoto, but also in Tokyo. The room was amazing, with a modern Japanese home design and a great toilet. I loved the Hana and the spa area. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the location was perfect - within walking distance to Nishiki Market and Kyoto Castle, and surrounded by great shops and restaurants. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Mitsui Garden Hotel Shinmachi Bettei for a great value stay.

The hotel also had a spa and wellness center where we could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. the buffet breakfasts at Mitsui Garden Hotel were stellar, and we loved the well-maintained onsen and comfy robes and slippers. the location was very convenient, with Shijo station and bus stations within a 10-15 minute walk. There were plenty of restaurants, department stores, and shopping malls nearby, as well as the Nishiki Arcade market. the room was clean, quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also appreciated the free drinks in the room, the relaxing sofa, and the traditional Japanese screens on the windows. the staff were helpful in arranging a meal at a Buddhist restaurant, and we even enjoyed the novelty of the Star Trek doors and the ice cream machine. Highly recommended!

Stellar buffet breakfasts, well-maintained onsen, comfy robes and slippers, and cool Star Trek doors. Modern meets history in a great location with traditional Japanese restaurant and nearby ancient Kyoto street area. Central location, delicious breakfast spread, nice bath, comfortable room, and excellent customer service. Clean, hidden-gem place with walking distance to main area and Gion. Fantastic breakfast with numerous Japanese buffet style side dishes. Professional and welcoming staff.
