I recently had the pleasure of staying at a traditional ryokan nestled on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding momiji trees. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in the spacious rooms with tatami flooring and a separate living space, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The private onsen provided a truly unique experience, allowing me to soak in volcanic waters while taking in the soothing sounds of nature. Furthermore, the friendly staff and convenient location near the bus stop on the main road made it easy to explore the area. And let's not forget about the delicious breakfast, which provided a great start to my day.

Staying at this charming ryokan was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The private hot spring was a highlight, with its breathtaking view of the river. The location in the Kurokawa Onsen area provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The meals served at the ryokan were top-notch, with a special mention to Yamaguchi-san who prepared delicious dishes. I also enjoyed the beautiful scene outside my window. Even though I wasn't used to sleeping on a futon, the comfort was easily solved by adding an extra one or choosing a room with a bed. I highly recommend this ryokan for its unique experience, attentive service, and exquisite meals.

The hotel is just next to the bus stop, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with heating to keep guests warm in cold weather. The staff provides excellent service, ensuring a pleasant stay. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast are delicious, offering an authentic culinary experience.

What a fabulous weekend! the food was glorious, especially the traditional Japanese dishes. the staff were attentive and always responsive to our needs. We found great shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. a big plus was the opportunity to take a guided hiking tour and see the local natural beauty. And we were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected complementary extras that were offered, a very nice touch indeed. Lastly, the hotel's location was perfect, just where we wanted to be.

Sadly, the weather wasn't the greatest and we had some rain during our weekend away. But despite that, it was still an absolutely delightful trip.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the center of town and within walking distance from the bus stop. Despite being close to the road, the hotel offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
