The coaties and other animals at the hotel were enjoyable for children. The new pool was great and the Internet connection was decent. The beach was beautiful with soft white sand and vibrant colors. The room had everything we needed and the food was good, especially at the Tapas restaurant. The spa experience was enjoyable and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

We loved our stay at Catalonia Playa Maroma! The resort had a lot to offer, including great waiters, like Quirino at BLoved, and Manuel at the Palapa Bar who made the best margaritas with fresh-squeezed limes. The juice bar was amazing, and we enjoyed Capuchinos everywhere. The house wines were good, and the Privileged Romance dinner and room amenities were excellent. We had fantastic meals at BLoved for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our room, #4220, was in a perfect location for privacy and quietness. The beach was nice, and we appreciated the daily effort to remove seaweed using a Bobcat. The restaurants, especially Beloved, the Grill, and the Japanese restaurants, served excellent fresh fish and appetizers. The portions were small but high-quality, so make sure to order extra dishes!

We recently went on a beach getaway and had a fantastic time! We loved the laid-back atmosphere of the resort and the beautiful location right on the beach. the resort is well-planned, with everything conveniently located within the beach and pool area. We really enjoyed the unlimited a la carte restaurants, especially the Italian and Mexican ones. the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Another highlight was the beach itself. It was perfect for long walks and had plenty of loungers and shade options.

There were a few things that could have been better. we had some issues with the room.

My husband and I had a wonderful week-long stay at this lovely resort. The jungle setting was relaxing and we enjoyed seeing coatis, iguanas, and monkeys during our walks. The staff, from concierges to gardeners, were all friendly and helpful. Our room in the Cobà area was clean and spacious, with a nice atmosphere. The pool and beach were both clean and large enough to accommodate everyone. The food at BLoved was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the Spanish and Mexican restaurants. The buffet had plenty of options and the quality was good. We were even lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to the Privileged package, which made us feel special and allowed us to enjoy extra perks like using the exclusive B Loved restaurant. our experience at this hotel was amazing and we would definitely recommend it.

As a couple, we absolutely loved the location of this hotel. Playa Maroma is by far one of the nicest beaches we've experienced. The water was stunningly beautiful and the beach, despite some algae, was well-maintained and clean. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. We were never ignored and they assisted us with everything we needed. The variety of food options at the five restaurants, including Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Mexican, and more. The pool was perfect for kids as it wasn't very deep. the hotel was well-organized, clean, and the rooms were regularly cleaned and well-ventilated. Access to the private beach was a definite bonus and the activities and games provided by the animators were enjoyed by both kids and adults.

Felt lucky, no complaints whatsoever.

My family and I recently enjoyed a perfect vacation at Catalonia Playa Maroma. The service was excellent, and we had the opportunity to dine at all the great restaurants. The resort is surrounded by nature, with cute animals and birds roaming around. The beach area is beautiful and the waiters provided great service. The rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the exclusive access to the beach and the fact that there were very few Americans at the resort. we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the European palate food.

As a first-time traveler to the Caribbean, I wasn't sure what to expect, but my stay at Catalonia exceeded all expectations. The polite and friendly staff went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed, and the variety of restaurants, including Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Mexican. The pool was perfect for families with its shallow depth, and the overall cleanliness and organization of the resort made me feel at ease. The well-ventilated rooms were spacious and regularly cleaned, adding to the comfort of my stay.

The beach was breathtaking, and the water so clear! Even though there was seaweed, the hotel staff worked hard to keep it clean. The Italian restaurant had delicious food with spectacular views of the ocean. I recommend this hotel.

The resort is smaller with less pool activity but still fun. The employees are friendly and greet guests. The food has no long lines and there are options for different cuisines. The beach is fantastic but sometimes has seaweed, which is cleaned daily.

had an incredible valentine's day stay at a resort in Punta Maroma. exceeded expectations with great staff, delicious food, and a beautiful jungle setting. loved seeing wildlife and felt like a VIP with the upgrade to Privileged.
