We stayed at the Santiago Hotel Boutique during our honeymoon and it was the best hotel we stayed at during our 4 weeks of travel. Jan and Rita, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and spent time answering all our questions. The hotel is nicely renovated and very clean. Our superior suite with a jacuzzi was amazing. We also enjoyed a fantastic cooking class with Ramon, which gave us a rich insight into the local Mexican kitchen. our stay was perfect and we cannot thank them enough.

We enjoyed the excellent food in the restaurant, with reasonable prices. the hotel's location was a great advantage, as it was within walking distance to the town center, making it easy to explore Merida. the hotel also served as a perfect starting point for visiting nearby attractions such as beaches and Maya sites.

There were a few minor inconveniences such as a lack of clothes hanging space in the room. However, these were easily overlooked compared to the overall positive experience.

Additionally, it was conveniently located for us to attend Jays spring training in Dunedin.

The hotel itself was charming and well-maintained, and the chef, Ramon, prepared delicious breakfasts for us every morning. Rita even helped me find a doctor and arranged a taxi when I fell ill. The location was convenient, just a few blocks from the Cathedral, and the owners spoke both English and Spanish fluently. The WiFi was reliable, and overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
