I recently stayed at Hotel Colonial in Playa del Carmen for a week-long vacation. The charming Mexican Colonial-style interior courtyard with a pool gave it a traditional and relaxing atmosphere. The housekeeping staff was extremely friendly, alert, and helpful. The price was great, and the location was perfect - close enough to the action but far enough to unwind. The shower was fantastic, and although the kitchenette was pointless, having a fridge was definitely a bonus. The pool was nice and the hotel was conveniently located near transportation options.

This hotel had great value for money. The prices were affordable, especially considering the spacious rooms with two beds and a safe for our passports. The location was excellent, just a short distance from the bus station. The staff were attentive and provided basic amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was a nice touch and provided a good start to the day.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Colonial! The hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk away from the ADO bus terminal, the port to Cozumel, and the beach. The rooms were spacious and we loved the hot shower. Plus, the price we paid was very affordable for what we got. The highlight for us was the nice swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. We also heard that they will be opening a new rooftop swimming pool soon, which we can't wait to experience. we had a great time at Colonial and would definitely recommend it to others.

We loved the central location, just a couple of blocks from 5th Avenue, the main street with bars and restaurants, and the ferry terminal to Cozumel. It was convenient to explore the city and enjoy the local attractions. The hotel's cleanliness was exceptional, with our room being cleaned and towels changed every day. The interior courtyard with a beautiful pool had a charming Mexican Colonial Style that we adored. The staff, especially the housekeeping team, were very friendly, alert, and helpful.

My Christmas stay at this hotel was a fantastic experience. the beds were cozy and spacious. the location of this hotel was very convenient, just a short walk from the beach and a short distance from local shops and restaurants. the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The Wi-Fi reception in my room was poor, but it worked perfectly fine in the pool area. the hotel could use a little updating, especially with regards to the towels and bed sheets.

There were also plenty of local food options nearby. the staff was incredibly friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. the room was clean and comfortable, with a king bed and a kitchenette. We also appreciated the hot water on demand and the powerful shower water pressure. the courtyard was a nice touch, and the in-room safe provided added security. We had no issues with the electrical outlets, and the A/C worked well. the excellent flat-screen TV and quiet room location were an added bonus.

Great value for money and a convenient location. the hotel was close to the pick-up point for my early morning flight. the pool was gorgeous and a perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring the city. - the staff was outstanding and provided excellent service. A special shoutout to Brigitte, the wonderful maid, and Axel, Raphael, Victor, and Angus at the reception.

There was construction going on during the day, which caused a lot of noise. However, it stopped at 5 pm, so it didn't disturb my evenings by the pool.
