Recently stayed at Thompson in Zihuatanejo for a week-long vacation and it was the best hotel experience of my life! The food was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the beach was beautiful. The rooms were stunning, especially the ones with plunge pools. If you can, definitely upgrade to a lagoon suite. The service on the beach was top-notch and the pools were excellent. Additionally, the local restaurants in the area were fantastic. I honestly cannot think of a single fault with this hotel. I am already planning to go back next year and I know it will be hard for any other hotel to top this one!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beach resort in Zihuatanejo and it was truly a paradise. the design and architecture of the hotel were incredible, creating a unique and beautiful atmosphere. the staff was exceptional and provided great service throughout my stay. the facilities on the beach were wonderful, and I especially enjoyed the food service there. the fish tacos were a highlight for me. the room was excellent, and the pillows were comfortable for a good night's sleep. the pools were nice, and the beach and lounging area exceeded my expectations. I was also impressed by the hotel's willingness to accommodate my request for a later check out, even though my room was already booked. this was the nicest place to stay.

We absolutely loved the location of this hotel. Situated right on La Ropa beach, it offered a picture-perfect view and easy access to the best beach in Zihuatanejo. Additionally, the hotel's design and attention to detail were exceptional, making us feel comfortable and immersed in the beautiful surroundings. The setup for dinners and live music in the evenings was especially enchanting.

the staff went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. their level of service surpassed any cruise ship we've ever been on. the hotel itself is amazing, with beautiful units and a stunning garden suite where we stayed. the continental breakfast was good and there were plenty of options to choose from. the beach, gym, and pool were all perfect, although the beach furniture was a bit disappointing.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The resort had a beautiful property and the rooms were nicely decorated. the air conditioning was great and the staff provided great service throughout the resort. the location of the hotel was also perfect, being in front of the best beach in the area. All of these aspects contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

There were a few negative aspects to our experience. the food on site was mediocre and overpriced, especially considering the prices in the US. the breakfast options were limited and we often had to go to another restaurant nearby.

The rooms were beautiful and clean, with a contemporary design that made me feel right at home. the beds were extremely comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. the staff were friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. I particularly want to mention Juan at the beach, who was always there to assist us with anything we needed. the property itself was stunning, with a lovely pool area and easy access to the beach. the location was perfect, with everything we needed within walking distance. a fantastic experience!

There were a few things that could be improved upon during our stay. it would have been nice to have some kind of covered common area with activities during rainy days or nights.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, right on the beach, giving us easy access to the beautiful sand and sea. Our room was spacious and had an amazing outdoor shower. Another highlight was the attentive and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to fulfill our specific dietary needs.

The only negative aspect was the price, which added up to make our 6-day stay quite expensive. However, considering the incredible location, the large room, and the exceptional service, it was a minor drawback.

Everything is what I need and want.

We got great value for our money at Thompson. The room was really nice and we especially loved our own private plunge pool and lounge area outdoors. The location was exceptional with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff treated us like royalty, from the super friendly bar staff to the hardworking beach staff. We felt truly pampered during our stay.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with more food options and a little more variety.

I had an absolutely lovely stay at Thompson. The one bedroom villa was perfect for my partner and me, providing the ideal space for our celebration. The outside terrace was incredible, and although we didn't have a hanging porch swing like other rooms, the large outside sofa made up for it as we napped and relaxed in complete comfort. The private plunge pool with an ocean view was a true treat. The chef's amenities and complimentary breakfast were delightful, and we indulged in the wonderful menu regardless of what was included. The service at the pool was outstanding, and the gentlemen working there went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The pre-arrival process was effortless, thanks to the helpful Villas/Concierge/Transportation teams. The private transportation service was exceptional, making our off-property excursions smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere, views, property, and people at Thompson were all top-notch and made for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

While my stay at Thompson was wonderful, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The food at the restaurant was a little overpriced, and the restaurant staff could benefit from some additional training in waiting tables.

The location of the property was perfect for Zihuatanejo. Right on La Ropa beach.

We had a wonderful and relaxing trip during Easter at this beachfront resort. the staff was friendly and professional, making us feel at home. the food was exceptional, especially their taco night. the location was perfect, with a beautiful beach and amazing views. We also enjoyed the comfortable beds and the delicious hibiscus drinks offered upon arrival.

There were some issues that affected our stay. the lack of information provided was surprising, with no guide book or map of the extensive grounds.
