I recently had an incredible stay at this luxurious hotel in Balestrand. The location was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the Sognefjord from every corner of the hotel. It was such a treat to sit in the evening and watch the cruise ships slowly pass by in the distance. The service at this place was top-notch, with the most courteous staff I encountered on my trip. From the moment we arrived, the young man who greeted us at the boat went above and beyond to assist with our luggage. The restaurant staff was also exceptional, providing impeccable service and making sure we had everything we needed. The historical public rooms felt like stepping back in time, with a fascinating collection of art from the 1800s and early 1900s.

Despite the small village having limited options, this hotel had everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The amenities were extensive, including a sauna, fitness center, and even a private beach.
