I stayed at this charming gjestgiveri for a few days while exploring the beautiful fjords. The location is impeccable, right on the boundary of the fjords, and the views from my room were breathtaking. The breakfast spread in the quaint little house filled with antiques was absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, recommending a delightful walk to a nearby waterfall. The small town of Aurlandsvangen has a lot of character and local vibes, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing everything was great.

The location right at the water's edge was marvelous. It was great to sit out with a drink and look at the fjord. The hotel is a short walk from a small, kid-friendly beach with grassy areas for picnics and some running around.

We had a very peaceful stay at Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri with beautiful gardens and a stunning view of the fjord. The large and comfortable room was perfect for our needs. The restaurant with its terrace overlooking the water was a highlight. We enjoyed the homemade bread and local brown cheese for breakfast. The helpful receptionist made our stay even better. Being within walking distance to the fjord ferry and bus stop was very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

There was a limited selection of food, with only basic bread and yogurt available. the rooms were not well-maintained, with water spreading on the floor during showers and no regular cleaning or change of linen provided.

We had a lovely stay at Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful and restful night's sleep. The modern toilet/bathroom was a nice touch, and the overall cleanliness of the apartment was impressive. The central location made it convenient for us to explore the area, and we appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere as we traveled with our 6-month-old puppy. we had a great experience.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to the fjord with stunning views of waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. It is also conveniently situated near a grocery store, which is a lifesaver considering Norway's prices. Everything you need is within close proximity, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a homely feel. the staff is incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to cater to vegetarian guests, ensuring a memorable stay.

We stayed at a cabin-like room directly on the water and it was amazing. Despite the rain, we fully enjoyed the feeling of being connected to the fjord, watching the ships, and experiencing the natural sounds and beauty. the breakfast was excellent with a welcoming staff, even though we arrived right when they were closing up. the on-site restaurant served really good food, especially the pizza. We had a deluxe room that smelled of wood, was really clean, and had a nice little deck on the water where we could relax and enjoy the views.

The location itself was breathtakingly beautiful. The cabin is right on the fjord, so you have a beautiful view of the fjord and mountains during the entirety of the stay. You can even catch fish right from the patio if you want to. The breakfast next door is very good quality.

Stayed in the cabin facing the serene and scenic fjord. Good location, near a dock and a supermarket. We took the Nærøyfjord cruise ferry from the nearby dock to Gudvagen after our 2N stay. The supermarket, just a 3-min walk away, is well-stocked. The cabin unit has a kitchenette where you can prepare meals. The location at the water's edge is marvelous, perfect for enjoying the fjord view. It's a short walk from the ferry, and they allowed us to check in early. There's a kid-friendly beach nearby and a delicious coffee shop past the grocery store.

Would recommend this hotel.

Right on the pretty fjord with waterfalls gushing down the cliffs opposite. Near to shop and transport. Clean cabin and facilities. Convenient location near a grocery store which you will realize you need after you familiarize yourself with Norway prices
