The cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bathroom were mind-blowing. The showers were great and the view of the mountains from our room was jaw-dropping. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and we were delighted by the appearance of a young family member with a very cute puppy.

The self-contained room had excellent cooking facilities and was spotless. It was spacious with lots of windows and a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the main town area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We've stayed at Kakapo Lodge multiple times and have always been impressed. the rooms with private bathrooms are clean and comfortable, with a good shower and bed. the owner is lovely and accommodating. the hostel is well-maintained, with exceptionally clean common areas and a surprise of a clean kitchen. the location is excellent, close to the hot pools and the town. On-site parking is available. the room we stayed in on the first floor was quiet and had a comfortable bed, allowing us to sleep late. the peaceful surroundings were greatly appreciated after a busy week.

We had a fantastic stay at Kakapo Lodge! the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, with warming blankets on the beds which were perfect for the chilly May weather. the kitchen was excellent, allowing us to cook our own meals, and the lounge areas were cozy and inviting. the location was ideal, just a short walk away from the hot springs, forest walks, and a variety of restaurants, bars. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this wonderful destination.

the breakfast was self-catered in a well-equipped and clean kitchen. the bed was comfortable and the linens fresh. the toilet was bigger than other motels I've stayed at. the room was clean and comfortable. the lodge was close to beautiful walking trails. the staff were friendly and helpful.

I had one of the best stays at a hostel in this city. The staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The hotel facilities were clean, tidy, and warmed up by a lovely log fire. The shared kitchen was excellent, and there were plenty of communal lounge spaces for socializing or enjoying quiet time. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the thermal pools and town. Parking was convenient, and there was even a windshield scraper provided. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, parking, location, and staff were exceptional.

Mind-blowing attention to detail! From the pre-set heater to electric blankets, they've thought of everything. Comfy bed, lovely blankets, and spotlessly clean. The self-contained motel-like room had stunning views and made me feel at home. The super clean kitchen provided all necessary amenities. The bathrooms were spacious, well-lit, and pristine. The location couldn't have been better. Love it!

The owner was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on her face. The kitchen was well-stocked and tidy, with a great collection of cooking books. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the pool's entrance.

The rooms were uncomfortably hot and stuffy. We were provided with a fan, but no air conditioning.

Kakapo Lodge was excellent value for money with clean facilities and a well-equipped shared kitchen. The room had a heater, which was a big plus. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to use the reception hall after check out when we had a flat tyre. we were very satisfied with our stay at Kakapo Lodge.

The hotel breakfast menu could have had more variety and options available.

I stayed at the cozy Kakapo Lodge for a night during my budget trip. The location was awesome, and the staff were kind and efficient during check-in. The single room I was given was comfy and cute, with extra care taken for cleanliness. The facilities were very clean, including the well-equipped kitchen. I loved the Kiwiana tin artwork along the hallway, and the lit woodstove was a bonus for cool evenings.

I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Las vistas desde nuestra habitación A31 eran increíbles y teníamos una buena terraza. La comida en el hotel era muy buena y había bastante variedad. El personal del hotel era muy agradable y amable. La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable, ya que está muy cerca de la playa, justo enfrente, y también muy cerca del centro de la ciudad.

We stayed at a fantastic lodge in Hanmer Springs. the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations. the bathrooms were also clean and well-equipped. the kitchen was tidy and had everything we needed. the staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to help. the location was excellent, with easy access to downtown Hanmer Springs.
