We were able to walk to most places, which saved us a lot of time and hassle. the breakfast provided each morning was simple but delicious, with fresh fruit that added a nice touch.

That there was no fridge in our room. It would have been convenient to have one, especially for keeping drinks and snacks cool.

We had an amazing time at the Guest Lodge! The owner, Richie, gave us an insider's tip on where to see the glow worms up close and away from the crowds. It was such a unique experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The picturesque view from our window added to the charm of this quirky hotel. Despite some minor drawbacks mentioned in the reviews, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Guest Lodge. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of this guest lodge is perfect for exploring the attractions in the area. It is really close to the caves, right in the center of the village, and super close to all the restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the valley. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations and even making dinner reservations for us.

It should be noted that the lodge may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues due to the presence of steps and other obstacles.

Additionally, the staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our gear while we went on a tour.

The noise from the nearby restaurant across the road was quite bothersome, especially during the night. The road noise was also louder than expected and seemed to travel upwards.

had another amazing stay in waitomo caves and guest lodge did not disappoint! the comfortable beds, hot showers, and plentiful breakfast made our stay even better. definitely coming back!

You can enjoy the convenience of a paid shuttle service to explore the area and relax in the garden area. Moreover, the rooms are clean with great amenities like a flat-screen TV and heating. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious.

The location of the hotel was also fantastic, right across the street from the best restaurant in town, and next to a good caves tour company. there was a lovely outdoor area outside our room where we could have a drink and marvel at the clear starlit sky.

The room was quite small and cramped, with limited space to put our suitcases.
