I had a restful and unique overnight experience at Convento Sao Paulo - Hotel Rural. The restored convent/monastery turned hotel was a sight to behold, with beautiful blue tiles depicting Biblical stories lining the hallways. My room was spacious, modernized, and had a stunning view of the valley below. The garden in the cloisters was filled with lovely roses, and the former dining room for the monks served a delightful breakfast buffet. The restaurant, located in the former bishop's chapel, had restored frescoes and served the best wine I had in Portugal. I highly recommend this hotel for a tranquil and fascinating stay.

The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant offers excellent Alentejo food with professional and warm staff. The hotel's historical charm is evident through the beautiful courtyard, gardens, and pools.

The hotel may not be ideal for families with children, as there is no dedicated playing garden or entertainment provided.

The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of bakery items and special croissants. The outdoor pool was a great place to relax, and the games room provided additional entertainment. my stay at this hotel was unforgettable and I can't wait to come back.

This place offers good annex rooms with plenty of space and good furnishings. The pool is excellent with wifi reception. The restaurant serves the best food in Portugal. The staff is super nice and helpful. The location is great for visiting Évora and the countryside.
