As a solo traveler, I loved the convenient location near Bolhao station and market. The hotel was a short walk from Rua Santa Catarina, a popular shopping street with plenty of restaurants and cafes. All the main attractions were within walking distance, and the room and bathroom were always clean and tidy. The soundproof double glazing ensured a peaceful sleep, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located in a quiet area of the city, just a two minute walk from Rua Catarina, the shopping hub. There are paid parking facilities next door and the hotel is in the center of the Porto city. The rooms are basic but have a little character with antique furniture which add to the atmosphere. The bathroom is nice and the breakfast, with limited options, is included and has a nice view towards town.

No negative aspects to mention, this hotel ticks all the boxes.

Had a wonderful xmas stay in the heart of the city. the location was perfect for exploring and the metro was within walking distance. the room was spacious and included two complimentary treats which was a nice surprise. the staff were friendly and accommodating. the breakfast was great and offered a good variety of options.

The noise from the busy street could be heard at times and the room could have used a bit of an update. the coffee served was not very good.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sao Jose for a weekend getaway in Porto. The reception staff were incredibly courteous and helpful throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, which offered more options than I expected for a 3-star hotel. Despite initially thinking the location was far from the train station, I soon realized it was actually a great spot near the city center. The nearby Bolhao Farmers Market, Trindade church, Aliados boulevard, and Livraria Lello were all within walking distance, making it convenient to explore the city.

The hotel also has a good wifi connection and provides assistance with any questions or issues.

The bathroom could have been more updated, with some black marks and a strange smell in the shower.
