I recently stayed at Albergue So Por Hoje in Astorga for a few nights during my Camino de Santiago journey. Patricia, the host, was absolutely amazing and made me feel right at home. The communal meal she cooked was delicious, offering a refreshing change from the usual pilgrim fare. The beds were comfortable and had real linen, and I appreciated the small nightlight near the bed. The facilities were always kept impeccably clean and smelled fresh. it was one of the best places I've stayed on the Camino, with a warm and authentic welcome.

The Brazilian meal served for dinner was a delightful change from the standard pilgrim meals and filled us up with delicious flavors. The breakfast selection the following morning was also excellent, providing a healthy start to our day.

The dormitory upstairs was cozy, the beds were comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. The breakfast provided in the morning was delightful, with a variety of options to choose from. The location of the albergue was perfect, situated between the two main albergues and the hotels, offering a great balance of price and comfort. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The inn was exceptionally clean and tidy. The breakfast table was beautifully set up with a variety of jams for toast, and they were happy to keep refilling our coffee cups. It was also very convenient to have the option to do laundry for just 5 euros. the proximity to a nearby supermarket made it easy to buy food and bring it back to enjoy.

The number of stairs in the hostel. Another small drawback was that there was only one shower and two toilets for the entire hostel.

The comfortable single beds, fresh bedsheet, and night lights by the bed made for a restful night's sleep. The distance from town was just right, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, the basic continental breakfast included in the stay was a convenient perk.
