My experience at Cc Atocha Hotel was incredibly frustrating. The room felt more like a cramped hostel. it was only 6 sqm and the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever encountered. To make matters worse, there was ongoing painting during my stay, and I had to navigate through fresh paint and workers every time I left my room—it was an absolute mess.

the shower was an absolute disaster, spraying everywhere, like they hadn't heard of a proper showerhead fitting. And don't even get me started on the lack of air conditioning in October—complete madness. I almost gave a good review, but the missing complimentary treats for my stay really sealed the deal!

during my stay, I really appreciated that the hotel was clean and had helpful staff, making it a great base for wandering around and discovering nearby spots like the Royal Botanical Garden and the beautiful Parque del Retiro, which is almost 2 km away and perfect for a leisurely stroll.

We enjoyed our stay especially being so close to the train station, making it easy to explore the city. Having our non-service dog with us was a plus, and the welcoming staff made everything smooth during check-in.
