My stay at Galle Face was a wonderful start to my Sri Lanka trip. The historic building is well-preserved, the rooms are lovely, and the evening buffet under the stars was incredible. The on-site Cuban bar offers breathtaking sunset views, and the clean pool is perfect for relaxation. The location is fantastic, and the staff, especially Chief Concierge Emmanuel, were polite, courteous, and extremely helpful.

The check-in process was quite frustrating. Despite informing the hotel twice about our late arrival, our room was not ready when we arrived at 1am.

The room we stayed in was upgraded to a suite with a spacious balcony overlooking the front lawn. The service provided by Jose, who looked after our room, was fantastic. We also enjoyed the complementary tours of the hotel led by their historian, which were very informative and worthwhile. The hotel's location near the ocean allowed us to witness breathtaking sunsets and enjoy the sound of the waves while dining. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the staff at the hotel were attentive and resolved any issues promptly. I highly recommend this hotel for its historical charm, excellent service, and beautiful setting.

As a group of friends, we loved the traditional colonial style living experience, with comfortable rooms and a relaxing environment. The staff was always helpful and attentive, guiding us when we were lost and providing a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the scent of the hotel and the old wood floor, which added to the classic charm. The hotel car was readily available and the concierge took care of our messages. We were impressed by the black and white photos in the museum showcasing the hotel's prestigious history, including famous guests like royal families, politicians, US presidents, and even James Bond actors. The sunset ceremony and the refreshing breeze were also highlights of our stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at a grand old lady during my recent trip. The check-in process was a bit disorganized, but the public spaces with their impressive lounges, library, and museum made up for it. I was delighted to have a sea view room, even though it was a bit small. The hotel's colonial charm was evident in every detail, except for the annoying sliding wardrobe door. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, and the High Tea was a treat. Despite a few hiccups, the overall experience was exceptional.

During my Easter stay, we enjoyed two complementary services that made our experience even better. the hotel had a stunning view of the sea and was just a few steps away from the beach, which made it very convenient for us to relax and sunbathe. the location was also ideal as there were many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of foods to choose from, and it was included in our package.

The room was a bit small and we experienced noise from the street at night, making it a little difficult to sleep. some of the staff members were not as friendly as we would have liked, which made us feel unwelcome at times.

The restaurant, 1860, served exceptional food and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel had the best pool in town, offering stunning views of the sunset. The location, right by the water's edge, was breathtaking, and my sea-facing room provided a peaceful and therapeutic atmosphere with the sound of the waves. The hotel also had a library and museum sections, adding to its unique charm.
