As backpackers, we really appreciated the great location of this hotel. It was within walking distance from the station, and there was also a tram that took us there in just 6 stops. The area was quiet, but with excellent transport links. The staff, particularly Robert on reception, were extremely helpful and friendly. From offering us a refreshing cold drink upon arrival to assisting us during check-out, their hospitality was top-notch. The room was comfortable, not too big but spacious enough. The bathroom was sparkling clean and the shower was huge. we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

Felt like being home, nothing to complain about.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was a nice size with a spacious bathroom. I appreciated the kettle with coffee and tea making facilities, as it's not common in Europe. The location is convenient, with easy access to trams, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, including delicious fresh made pancakes.

There were a couple of downsides to my stay. First, there was some noise from construction work next to the hotel, which started early in the morning and continued throughout the day.

the traffic outside was very noisy and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the floors were sloped quite a bit and the furniture was not of high quality, which was a letdown.

The room I stayed in was disappointing. the drapes were thin and didn't block out the lights that stayed on outside all night, making it difficult to sleep in a dark room.

I had a late arrival and was relieved to find that the reception at Design Hotel Plattenhof was still open. They were accommodating and made check-in a breeze. The central location and excellent public transportation connections made exploring the city so convenient. The staff were kind, polite, and always willing to assist with any requests. The room was cozy, clean, and had a comfortable bed. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
