I recently stayed at Hotel National in Zermatt for a few days. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect - right across from the main entrance to the trains and ski-lifts. The hotel was clean and modern, with a balcony and nice touches like a hanging welcome sign and complimentary toiletries. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while we were out for the day, the staff dimmed the lights and turned down our beds. The breakfast bags provided for our early departure were a nice touch. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. Totally recommend this hotel!

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and the main street. This made it very convenient for us to explore the city and take the ski lift to Sonnega. The room we stayed in, Room 314, was spacious, clean, and had a new bathroom. It was also quiet and provided a comfortable and peaceful stay. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely terrific, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including a cooked meal. We were also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a larger room and received complimentary drinks and Toblerone upon departure. the facilities and amenities provided by the hotel were excellent and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

We got excellent value for our money at the Hotel National. The room had a stunning view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding scenery. The location was perfect, with all bars and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The staff were lovely and even booked a nearby restaurant for us one night, which was a kind gesture. We will definitely be returning!

The breakfast option could have been better. The pillows in the room were pretty but not comfortable to sleep on.

The staff were welcoming and attentive, offering great restaurant recommendations and general assistance. Our room was outstanding, with unbelievable views of the Matterhorn. The breakfast selection was delicious and had plenty of options. The hotel's location was excellent, with convenient access to the nearby ski lifts and transportation. The bar and sitting areas were cozy, with plenty of comfortable sheepskins to relax on. The complimentary fruit basket and afternoon tea station were a generous touch. a wonderful experience!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. the Saturday night Swiss BBQ was delicious and made even better by the live music. the hotel had a lovely pool and sauna, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The WiFi was a bit annoying as it didn't allow VPN connections and required a browser logon multiple times a day. Additionally, the UK TV channels had a poor signal and kept breaking up, making them unwatchable.

The staff at Hotel National were exceptional, always helpful and considerate. The food was of a good standard, and the spa area was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. The location was also convenient.

Felt safe walking at night, nothing to complain about.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the warm and friendly welcome from the staff. the spacious room with a beautiful view and a comfortable bathroom was a great feature. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect, being just a short walk away from the main street with its shops, restaurants, and bars. It was also conveniently located near the lifts, allowing easy access to the mountain for skiing or hiking.

There were a few aspects that I didn't particularly enjoy. the breakfast buffet lacked variety and could have had more options to choose from.

Great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, train station, and ski-way. Amazing staff, well-prepared and always smiling. Nice common areas, bar, restaurant, and spa. Breakfast with high-quality variety. Felt like a real holiday.

We recently stayed at Hotel National for a weekend getaway and couldn't have been happier. The location was fantastic, with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and convenient access to bars, restaurants, and the Sunnega lift. The cozy decoration, delicious bed, and cleanliness of the room were all top-notch. We also loved the spa facilities, including the jacuzzi, saunas, and heated pool. We can't wait to return!

We had a fantastic stay at this 4-star hotel! The location was perfect, right across from the ski lifts, making it incredibly convenient for our skiing adventures. The view from the porch was absolutely stunning, and we loved being able to relax and take in the scenery. The room was spacious and well-laid out, with plenty of space for all of our ski gear. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We especially enjoyed the cooked-to-order food and the bubbly. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even packed breakfast for us on our early departure day. We also appreciated the complimentary drink and snacks in the bar, as well as the water, oranges, and peanuts in the room. The ski locker room was well-equipped with boot heaters and daily sock laundry, and the kids loved the robes and pool. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to families.
